By Brandon Mull
This book follows two children and
their adventure with their grandparents at Fablehaven. Kendra Sorenson
is a thirteen year old girl, who would much rather be on the cruise with
her parents than in the country at a house that she has never been too,
and with grandparents she barely knows.
Seth Sorenson is and 11-year-old mischievous boy who doesn't like to listen to orders.
When
Kendra and Seth arrive at Fablehaven, their grandfather sets some
ground rules. Like No Going in to the forest that surrounds the back of
the house, and no going into the barn. Then he takes them to their room
in the attic, that is very spacious and had a hen in it. Their
Grandfather handed Kendra a ring of three keys saying that they go to
something in this room and that they could figure it out.
After
that strange things started happening, such as bugs hovering over a
mirror, and an old hag asking Seth to have some tea, and other little
things that make Kendra and Seth think that there is more to this place
than meet the eye.
I had just read another book by
Brandon Mull and was eager to start this one. It was very intriguing.
The whole idea of it is very exciting and entertaining. You really
should read these books, there are five total of this series, and I am
waiting on getting the second and third. But the first book was
absolutely amazing.
