I got this book for Christmas, and I knew close to nothing about it. When I started reading I couldn't put it down. Its about a girl named Rose and a betrothed lord named Wilhelm Hamlin.
Rose is a healer's apprentice, but she isn't very good at the craft herself. she feels sick at the sight of blood.
But after Rose bravely saves the life of Lord Hamlin, she becomes close friends with his family but has strange feelings toward him, feelings that she cannot identify, Lord Hamlin also has feelings toward Rose that he cannot identify. When Lord Hamlin's foolish brother start falling in love with Rose, Hamlin decides to go and look for the man who is hunting his betrothed. He is to upset to see Rose with his irresponsible brother.
Rose thinks she is falling in love with Lord Hamlin's brother but when he proposes something so preposterous, so wrong, she knows then that she was never in love with him.
Rose continues with her life as a healer's apprentice until one day when all that she knew changes.

This book is amazing. It shows the divinity of a Pure heart. It is a must read for any teen girl.
